PAIW CORPORATE CRICKET TOURNAMENT: Connect and HDFC Bank show off excellent performance

Ludhiana, December 9, 2012: A total five matches were played in the Punjab Agro Implements Works (PAIW) Corporate Cricket Tournament played here today.

The first match was played between Sacred Heart (Staff) and Eastman Impex. The former won the match by 8 runs. In the beginning, Eastman Impex won the toss and elected to bowl first. Sacred Heart (Staff) scored 73 runs in 10 overs, with help of 28 runs scored by Amarbir. Batting second Eastman Impex managed to score 65 runs in 10 overs with help of 22 runs scored by Varun. Man of the match: Amarbir (Sacred Heart/ Staff).
The second match took place between the teams of Imperial Golf Estate and Allahabad Bank. The latter team won by 5 runs. Imperial Golf Estate won the toss and elected to bowl first. Allahabad Bank scored 66 runs in 10 overs, Batting second Imperial Golf Estate managed to score 60 runs in 10 overs. Man of the match: Sarabjeet (Allahabad Bank).
The third match was held between ERA Jewelers and Dainik Bhaskar. The former won the match by 59 runs. Dainik Bhaskar won the toss and elected to bowl first. ERA Jewelers scored 119 runs in 10 overs, with help of 47 runs scored by Pawan. Batting second Dainik Bhaskar managed to score 60 runs in 10 overs. Man of the match: Pawan (ERA Jewelers).
Similarly, the fourth match was played between HDFC and Connect. The Match was tie. Spectators said it was an excellent match played between Connect and HDFC Bank. Both teams fought hard and in the end result came as tie. HDFC won the toss and elected to bowl first. Connect scored 76 runs in 10 overs, with help of 20 runs scored by Amit.  Batting second HDFC Started well and end up with 76 run in 10 overs with the help of 31 scored by Himanshu. Man of the match: Himanshu (HDFC Bank).
The fifth was played between Rockman and Pharma Group. The former won the match by 5 wickets.
Pharma Group won the toss and elected to Ball first.  Rockman scored 55 runs in 10 overs, Batting second Pharma Group won the match in 9 overs. Man of the match: Ravi (Pharma Group).
Man of the match was awarded with a trophy from Punjab Agro Implements Works and Gift voucher from ERA Jewelers and the event is managed by Sportz Entertainment Media.
