Pakistani drone intercepted by BSF troops in Ferozepur Sector
The BSF troops deployed at border outpost Jagdish intercepted a Pakistani drone which had come from the Pakistani side. As per information the BSF troops deployed at the BOP Jagdish near village Gandhu Kilcha heard the humming sound of a drone last night around 9:50 pm coming from Pakistan side in alignment of border pillar no 193/8 in this sector. The BSF personnel fired several round and used Illuminating bombs from their personal weapons to bring down the drone.
Ferozpur, November 9, 2022: The BSF troops deployed at border outpost Jagdish intercepted a Pakistani drone which had come from the Pakistani side. As per information the BSF troops deployed at the BOP Jagdish near village Gandhu Kilcha heard the humming sound of a drone last night around 9:50 pm coming from Pakistan side in alignment of border pillar no 193/8 in this sector. The BSF personnel fired several round and used Illuminating bombs from their personal weapons to bring down the drone.
Later, around 10:10 pm, the drone like object returned back from India side to Pakistan side when the BSF personnel again fired in its direction. As per reports, another sortie was reported at about 10:42 pm by the BSF troops who again opened firing. As per information, the BSF personnel fired 22 round and 6 Illuminating bombs towards the drone which had come in same alignment again.
Later, around 10:55 pm, that drone returned back to Pakistan side. Ironically, the BSF troops observed third sortie at about 11:23 pm in the Indian territory. This time, the BSF personnel again fired 57 rounds and 03 Illuminating bombs from their personal weapons but in vain. As per reports, the third sortie didn't return back from India to Pakistan side till now.
During the search operation carried out by the BSF troops and sleuths belonging to Punjab police, a drone (Hexacoptor) was recovered near Village Jalal Wala. Besides the drone, a rope of 150 ft length was also found attached with a pully.
A search operation was being carried out by the joint teams of BSF and Punjab police.
