Panchayat Raj by-election: Election for one BDC member, 5 Deputy Pradhan, 38 ward members to be held on Sep 29 in Kangra: DC

Dharamshala, September 2, 2024:  District Election Officer Deputy Commissioner Hemraj Bairwa said that elections for one BDC member, 5 Deputy Pradhan, and 38 ward members will be held on September 18 in Kangra district. Bairwa said that nomination papers for by-election in Panchayat Raj institutions will be filed on September 11, 12, 13, nomination papers will be scrutinized on September 16. The date for withdrawal of nomination papers has been fixed from 10 am to 3 pm on September 18 and after this election symbols will be allotted. He said that voting will be held on September 29 from 8 am to 4 pm. After voting for the posts of ward member, pradhan, up-pradhan, counting of votes will be done at the respective Panchayat headquarters, whereas for Panchayat Samiti member, counting of votes will be done on September 30 at the respective block headquarters. Giving information, Deputy Commissioner Hemraj Bairwa said that elections will be held for the vacant posts of Basantpur BDC ward under Indora Panchayat Samiti, up-pradhan in Sirat Panchayat under Indora block, up-pradhan in Dhaniri of Lambagaon block, up-pradhan in Beedu Sarana of Rait block, up-pradhan in Spadu of Baijnath block, up-pradhan in Rajol Panchayat of Dehra block. Along with this, ward number one of Gadiyada Panchayat of Baijnath, ward number 5 of Panjala Panchayat, ward number two of Morth Jasai Gram Panchayat of Badoh block, ward number three, four, five of Ratiad Panchayat, Sherluhar ward number four of Dehra, ward number five of Deharu Panchayat, ward number six of Nahlian Panchayat, ward number one and six of Salihar, ward number three of Sheela Bhutehad of Dharamshala block, ward number four of Bhattla, ward number three of Waghni, ward number two of Chanaur of Indora block, ward number six of Damtal, ward number three of Sahodha of Kangra block, ward number five of Rajal, ward number five of Bijapur of Lambagbaon, ward number one of Bandahu, ward number two of Upper Lambagaon, ward number four of Paplah, ward number three of Varanda Panchayat of Nurpur block, ward number one of Lahadu of Nagarota Surian block, Nagarota Surian ward number Ward member elections will be held for ward number eight, ward number two of Bhalu, ward number four of Kothi Banda, ward number two of Ladoh of Panchrukhi block, ward number three and five of Ghiori Panchayat of Pragpur block, ward number one of Nari Panchayat, ward number two of Vehan, ward number one of Basoli Panchayat of Fatehpur block, ward number six of Boudu Sarana of Rait block, ward number two of Gaggal of Sulh block, ward number three of Nanaon, ward number four of Khaduhal Sauranu.
