Pandit Sajan Mishra of Mishra brothers visited PU
Pandit Sajan Mishra of Mishra brothers, singer of the khyal style of Indian classical music, awarded with Padma Bhushan in 2007 visited the department of Music, Panjab University, Chandigarh on 21.02.2024. He addressed to the faculty, staff and students of the department. In his address he emphasized the importance of riyaz in classical music.

Chandigarh, February 21, 2024: Pandit Sajan Mishra of Mishra brothers, singer of the khyal style of Indian classical music, awarded with Padma Bhushan in 2007 visited the department of Music, Panjab University, Chandigarh on 21.02.2024. He addressed to the faculty, staff and students of the department. In his address he emphasized the importance of riyaz in classical music.
He told that disciplined riyaz plays a very important role for beginners, students and for the faculty who are teaching. Students should do four times riyaz to show devotional approach for the classical music.
In thanks note Prof. Neelam Paul, Chairperson, Dept. of Music said that it is a great honour for the department of Music, Panjab University to get various technical and professional skills from such legendary classical singer. The students, staff as well as faculty members applauded a lot with the address of Pandit Sajan Mishra Ji.
