Panjab University celebrated its Foundation Day today 

Chandigarh, October 14, 2024: Panjab University celebrated its Foundation Day today as it completed 142 years of its service to the society. PU Vice Chancellor Prof. Renu Vig hoisted the University flag at the function organized by PU NSS at the VC Secretariat.
 
PU VC Prof. Renu Vig administered a pledge to all the participants.
 
While congratulating everyone on the PU Foundation Day, PU VC motivated the teachers and students for bigger contribution to the nation. She recalled the great contribution of PU, which is one of the oldest Universities in India. She referred to PU's glorious tradition of pursuing excellence in teaching and research in science and technology, humanities, social sciences, performing arts and sports.
 
Besides PU DUI Prof. Rumina Sethi, Registrar Prof. Y.P. Verma, a number of University officers, teachers, staff members, research scholars and students participated in the function organised under the guidance of Dr. Parveen Goyal, Programme Coordinator, NSS.
 
PU Student Council President Mr. Anurag Dalal welcomed the Vice Chancellor Prof. Vig by presenting the Panjab University logo.
