The key Speaker of the event was Prof. Reicha Tanwar, former Director of Women's Studies Research Institute at Kurukshetra University. Prof. Tanwar is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in gender studies. 
 
Prof. Tanwar educated the attendees on the impact of gender stereotypes and how they can be challenged and overcome. She provided insights into the psychological and societal roots of gender stereotypes and also gave the attendees practical tools and strategies for challenging stereotypes in their daily lives.
 
She also gave a comprehensive review of existing policies and practices in higher education institutions to identify areas where gender disparities exist. Based on this review, she briefed a set of best practices for creating gender-sensitive environments and curricula. The event's participants engaged in an enriching conversation with Prof. Tanwar that touched on various aspects of gender mainstreaming.
 
The event was attended by students, faculty and staff of various departments of Panjab University. The workshop was a great success all around. Gender stereotypes limit people's potential based on their gender and this leads to inequality.
