Panjab University to Celebrate Foundation Day with Prestigious Pran Nath Vohra Oration

Chandigarh, September 19, 2024: Panjab University will celebrate its Foundation Day on October 1, at 11:00 AM in Panjab University Auditorium, Chandigarh, with a landmark event featuring the Pran Nath Vohra Oration, to be delivered by Prof. Ajay Kumar Sood, Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India.

This year’s celebration is especially significant as it celebrates the 100th birth anniversary of Late Dr. Om Prakash Vig, an eminent chemist and former Chairperson of the Department of Chemistry at Panjab University. To commemorate his contributions, Chairperson of the Prime Minister’s Science, Technology & Innovation Advisory Council (PM-STIAC) Prof. Sood will release a biography chronicling Prof. Vig’s life and work and a commemorative postal stamp issued by the Postal Department of India.
