Panjab University won overall champion trophy
Panjab University has won the overall champion trophy (1st position) in the Inter-University Youth Festival held at Punjab Agricultural University Ludhiana.
Chandigarh, December 2, 2024: Panjab University has won the overall champion trophy (1st position) in the Inter-University Youth Festival held at Punjab Agricultural University Ludhiana. The festival was organised by the Directorate of Youth Affairs, Government of Punjab from November 29-December 2 2024. As many as 17 universities consisting of more than 2,000 students of the region had participated in the Inter-university festival. LPU Phagwara and GNDU Amritsar secured second and third positions respectively.
The overall trophy was received by PU Director Youth Welfare Dr. Rohit Kumar Sharma.
Forty five events were organised in various categories like literary, Heritage, Music, Fine Arts and Dance.
The teams of Panjab University consisted of more than 150 students from various PU affiliated colleges and departments, who won in the PU zonal and interzonal festivals organised under the aegis of the Department of Youth Welfare Panjab University. Panjab University has retained the overall trophy for the third year after winning the same last year when the Inter-university event was held at GNDU Amritsar and at Punjabi University Patiala two years ago.
