Krishna Kotian, who will be soon seen in the upcoming Disney+Hotstar series 'Criminal Justice Season 3', always dreamt of becoming an actor but had to till the age of 51. He finally could make his acting debut with the Rajinikanth starrer 'Darbar' and has been on an upward curve since then.
The actor commented on the role and the opportunity to work with Pankaj Tripathi and other marquee actors like Gaurav Gera, Khushboo Atre, Purab Kohli, Deshna Dugad, Aditya Gupta, Swastika Mukherjee, and Shweta Basu Prasad. “Working with Pankaj Tripathi is like a full-fledged acting workshop. I watched him perform on the sets before we shot together to get to understand him better. He is such a humble human being even after tasting big success on OTT. He welcomed every suggestion from every member of the cast and crew. We had amazing discussions on advertising and brand promotions when he got to understand that I come from that background. Such genuine human beings are hard to find.”
This season, the show gets bigger and better as the witty lawyer tackles another tough case. “There were plentiful reasons to say yes to a show like Criminal Justice. One of the biggest is the director Rohan Sippy. I am a fan of his direction and always wanted to be a part of his projects. The second was the ensemble cast. The third reason was the previous two seasons of the show; I had watched and loved them completely. I could relate to the character of Madhav Mishra in the first two seasons to myself. Just like Madhav tries to get a breakthrough in his cases, I wanted a breakthrough in my acting career before I signed Rajnikant’s Darbar in 2019. I had left my corporate job then and wasn't as jugaadu as Madhav Mishra in the series."
Krishna was a part of companies like Lintas, J. Walter Thomson, Shashi Sumeet Group, Cineyug, and MAD Studios before taking the plunge into acting at the age of 51. Since then, he has been a part of projects like 'Masaba Masaba', ‘Rocket Boys’, ‘Avrodh2’, ‘Bestseller’ ‘Main Hero Bol Raha Hoon', 'Twisted 3', 'Bombers', 'Janani', ‘The Chosen One’, etc
