Dharamshala, November 5, 2024: The Paragliding World Cup (PWC India-2024) faced a challenge today as poor weather conditions led to the cancellation of the scheduled task.
According to a statement from the Spokesperson of the Billing Paragliding Association, the technical committee had initially set a 148-kilometer course for November 5. All pilots successfully took off from Billing at the designated window time. However, deteriorating visibility and unfavourable weather forced the organisers to call the pilots back, prioritising their safety. All participants landed safely at the designated Bir landing site, and today's task was subsequently cancelled.
The Paragliding World Cup event, which began last week in Bir Billing, Kangra, is expected to conclude on November 9.
