“Parents now strive to create a safe space for open conversations”: Juhi Parmar shares her thoughts on modern parenting while speaking about Amazon miniTV’s Yeh Meri Family S4

Mumbai, August 22, 2024: Amazon miniTV, Amazon's free video streaming service, recently launched the highly anticipated fourth season of its fan-favourite family drama, Yeh Meri Family. Set against the backdrop of the 1995 monsoon, the latest season follows the beloved Awasthi family as it embarks on a journey of self-discovery, confronting life's challenges and learning valuable lessons along the way, all narrated through the lens of an 11-year-old Rishi. From laughter-filled breakfasts to heartfelt conversations, the show perfectly captures the everyday moments that make life worth living. Produced by TVF, Yeh Meri Family S4 features Juhi Parmar, Anngad Raaj, Rajesh Kumar, and Hetal Gada in the lead roles.

Juhi Parmar, who reprises the role of Neerja, a caring wife to Sanjay, and a doting mother to Ritika and Rishi, shared what the audiences can expect from the latest season of the series, saying, “This season has raised the bar a notch higher than the previous seasons. As Ritika embraces adolescence, the show widens its scope, exploring how Neerja and Sanjay mature as parents, mirroring Ritika's growth and self-discovery.”

Juhi further reflected on the difference between 90s parenting and modern parenting, highlighting, “Parenting in the 90s was distinct, marked by simplicity and a subtle distance between parents and children. Back then, kids often hesitated to openly talk about their thoughts and feelings to their parents. In contrast, modern parenting has blurred those lines, fostering a more friendly and relational approach. Parents now strive to create a safe space for open conversations, acknowledging the importance of mental health and encouraging children to express themselves freely.”
