Pargat Singh and Navjot Singh Sidhu interact with KMV students
KMV hosts Punjab Da Bavikh- a student interaction session series with the representatives from Government of Punjab
Jalandhar, December 4, 2021: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) organised Punjab Da Bavikh- a student interaction session series with the representatives from Government of Punjab. During the program, Mr Pargat Singh, Education Minister, Government of Punjab & Mr Navjot Singh Sidhu were the chief guest. Mrs. Alka Lamba, Mr Gautam Seth, Mr Krishna Allavaru, & Mr Varinder Singh Dhillon were also present on the occasion. The program commenced with the lamp lighting. Welcoming the esteemed guests, Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that KMV is the epitome of women empowerment as this is the pioneer institution that have championed the cause of women empowerment. She further maintained that KMV has already implemented all the educational reforms in the college that are already in sync with the New Education Policy. Interacting & speaking with the students, Mr Sidhu said that he feels elated to come to this Heritage institution that is the cradle of women education & empowerment in India. Mr Sidhu also motivated the students to follow their passion & develop excellence in each & everything that they do in order to achieve success. He further shared various anecdotes from his life in order to impart life lessons to the students. Mr Pargat Singh addressing the gathering said that his focus being the education minister of Punjab is to provide skill oriented industry based education to the students so that the students should be able to get good jobs after their studies. Moreover, he said that he feels happy to observe that KMV is an institution that is so futuristic in its approach and is also providing world class education to the students. On this occasion, Mr Pargat Singh also announced a grant of 10 lakh rupees to KMV. Ms Alka Lamba also motivated the students to realise their potential and to be courageous in life so that they should not feel intimidated by anyone. Mr Gautam Seth told the students to work hard and sincerely for their future so that they can achieve anything in life. Mr Varinder Dhillon told the young students to participate in the electoral process of the country and should always ask questions from the leaders and to hold them accountable. On this occasion, students named Aarzoo, Agam, Aanchal & Manjot presented their views on education system. Students also interacted with the esteemed guests and asked various questions pertaining to the education system of the country and the state to which all the guests responded eloquently. Principal lauded the efforts of Department of Student Welfare for organising the program successfully.
