International Webinar organised on Hindi in Foreign: Condition and Direction
Jalandhar: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya organised an international webinar on Hindi in Foreign: Condition & Direction. The eminent speakers for the webinar were Mr Suresh Chandra Shukal ‘Sharad Alok’ (Norway) & Shailendra Kumar Sharma (Ujjain). It is important to mention that scholars & students from all over India & abroad participated in this international webinar with full zeal & enthusiasm.
Principal Prof Dr Atima Sharma Dwivedi in her welcoming address averred that today there is a need to disseminate the ideals imbibed in various Hindi language texts & scriptures to the common masses & this task can be accomplished by the intellectuals of Hindi literature with the help of communicating in simple Hindi language. Mr Shailendra in his impactful address lauded the contribution of KMV in the freedom struggle of the country and also emphasised on the fact that KMV is the symbol of women empowerment and women education in our country. He further said that millions of Hindi speaking people who are residing in different countries of the world are continuously working towards the development of this language. He also said that we should not limit Hindi language to only creative & entertainment endeavours, but it should also be utilised for scientific & academic purposes. Mr Suresh Chandra Shukal in his address said that Hindi language is not used only for communication purposes in foreign countries, but it is also a medium of creative & intellectual exchange among each other. He further said that in order to popularise the Hindi language, it is very important that one should have a knowledge of the native language of the foreign country in which he is residing. He suggested the students to learn two or three new languages along with Hindi if they want to achieve better job opportunities in foreign countries and this would also enhance the new opportunities for the development of Hindi language.
