Chandigarh, August 14, 2022: Partition Horrors Remembrance Day was celebrated by Panjab University Hostels in collaboration with Directorate of Sports, UIHTM, UIAMS, NSS Departments & Chief of university Security Office.
Prof. Raj Kumar, Vice Chancellor, Panjab University and Chief Guest of the event addressed the wide array of audience of more than 550 including Registrar, Deans, Fellows, faculty, hostel wardens, residents, NSS contingent and shared the relevance about the day.
Prof. Raj Kumar emphasized that we shall always remember the sufferings, sacrifice and struggles of partition victims. We are independent today because of the contribution and of these heroes.
A two minute silence was held in remembrance of sacrifices and struggles of Partition Victims.
Thereafter, the Patriotic songs played created a patriotic atmosphere all around Gandhi Bhawan. The event concluded by a words of thanks to all who contributed to make the event a grand success.
