Patiala, Moga, Kapurthala, Amritsar qualify for semi-finals of Punjab state senior T-20 tournaments

Mohali: Last round of the league matches was played today and Teams from Patiala, Moga, Kapurthala, Amritsar qualified for the semi-finals of Punjab state Senior T-20 tournament.

In the Last round of the league matches of Punjab state inter district tournament for senior T-20 played today.

Moga beat Ludhiana by 6 wickets
The last league round of Group-B match played between Moga vs Ludhiana at GRD Academy Ludhiana. Moga won the toss and opted to bat first. Ludhiana batting first scored 155 for 8 in 20 overs. Sunny Pandey and Nehal Wadhera opened the innings for Ludhiana. Ludhiana lost their first wicket on the score of 40 when Nehal Wadhera got out on 25 off 19 balls (2X4)(2X6) then next to go Sunny Pandey was bowled by Sohraab Kamal on the score 23 off 20 balls (2X4)(1X6). Skipper Gitansh Khera unbeaten 75 off 46 balls (7X4)(3X6) helped Ludhiana to reach 155 in 20 overs. Sohraab Kamal 2 for 22, Gurtej Singh 2 for 30 and Talwinder Brar 4 for 40 were the successful bowlers for Moga. In reply Moga were 156 for 4 in 17.2 overs and got 4 points while Ludhiana got 0. Sohraab Kama 82 off 45 balls (9X4)(3X6) and Gurjinder Singh 21 (retired hurt ) were the successful run getters for Moga. The last round of Group-B match between Fatehgarh Sahib vs Ropar  played at Govt. College, Ropar. Fatehgarh Sahib won the toss and opted to bat first. Batting first Fatehgarh Sahib scored 163 for 4 in 20 overs. Ajay Pal Singh unbeaten 47 off 27 balls (4X4) (3X6), Rimanjeet Singh 38 off 28 balls (3X4)(3X6), Jaskaranvir Singh 30 of 30 balls (4X4) and Devi Chand Yadav 20 off 15 balls (2X6) were the highest run getters for Fatehgarh Sahib. Hemant Sharma 2 for 25 was the successful bowler for Ropar.  Ropar in reply scored 166 for 6 in 19.1 overs and got 4 points while Fatehgarh Sahib got 0. Faridkot scored 174 for 6 in 20 overs. Sahaj Dhawan unbeaten 87 off 57 balls (8X4)(4X6) and Prince Balwant 34 off 22 balls (5X4) helped Faridkot to reach on the score of 174 in 20 overs. The last league match of Group- A played between Mansa Vs Bathinda at Cops Club, Bathinda. Masna won the toss and elected bat first. Batting first Mansa was able to score 131 for 6 in 20 overs. Sahbaj 34 off 40 balls (5X4)(1X6), Bittu Chahal 27 off 15 balls (3X4)(1X6) and unbeaten Saksham Kumar 25 off 14 balls(2X4) (1X6) were the main run getters for Mansa. The other last league match of Group-A was played between Patiala vs Sangrur at Dhruv Pandove stadium, Patiala. Sangrur won the toss and elected to bat first. Batting first Sangrur was able to score only 123 for 6 in 20 overs. Mohd Bilal 23* off 14 (2X4) (1X6) , Jeevanjeet Singh 18 off 28 balls (1X4)(1X6) and Jatin 15* off 12 balls(2X4) were the main run getters for Sangrur. The revised target of 104 in 13 overs calculated with VJD method was given to the Jalandhar.
