Ludhiana, June 4, 2019: A patient aged 28 years was admitted to CMC hospital early morning June 3, 2019. He had come with a history of consuming a mosquito repellant, said CMC Administration in a statement here today.
At the time of admission, he was under the effect of alcohol. He is a known alcoholic and was admitted to ICU 3 with aspiration pneumonia. He was intubated and was recovering.
He was extubated at 9:30 AM on June 5, 2019. Suddenly he became agitated at 10 AM and pulled out his N-G tube and jumped out of the bed. He broke the glass door of ICU 3 and jumped out. His condition is stable but critical.
