PAU Alumna delivers lecture on navigation for Ph.D positions in foreign universities

Ludhiana: The Department of Extension Education, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), organized a lecture on “Navigation for Ph.D positions in the Foreign Universities and Setting up CVs and Linkages on LinkedIn” as a part of Interactive Lecture Series underway at PAU. Ms Kritika Gupta, a PAU alumna with bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics in 2017, was the keynote speaker. Currently, she is a TEDx Speaker, a Ph.D. student and a Graduate Assistant in the Department of Nutrition and Hospitality Management at the University of Mississippi, USA. More than 150 students participated online.
Ms Gupta shared her experience and journey while applying for Ph.D in the foreign universities. She also enlightened the students about the preparation and presentation of CVs while applying for Ph.D and maintenance of LinkedIn profiles to develop good linkages with the professionals around the world. She briefed the audience regarding the dos and don’ts while requesting for various positions in the reputed universities abroad.
Dr Kuldeep Singh, Head, Department of Extension Education, lauded the meaningful lecture delivered by the speaker and said that such lectures can boost the students to pursue their higher education degrees in the esteemed universities abroad.
The Co-ordinators Dr Manmeet Kaur and Dr Lopamudra acknowledged the keynote speaker for igniting a spark of confidence among the students and rejuvenating the faculty members.
The lecture was followed by an interactive session, where Ms Gupta addressed all the queries of the students.
