PAU Alumna joins as Assistant Prof at Athens Varsity
An alumna of Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), Dr Ruchika Kashyap has brought laurels to her alma-mater by assuming the position of Assistant Professor and Extension Specialist of Urban and Controlled-Environment Plant Pathology in the Department of Plant Pathology, University of Georgia, Athens. she is responsible for extension programming and applied research focused on etiology, diagnosis, and management of diseases in urban and homeowner landscapes, gardens, and food crops produced in controlled-environment facilities.
Ludhiana, July 10, 2024: An alumna of Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), Dr Ruchika Kashyap has brought laurels to her alma-mater by assuming the position of Assistant Professor and Extension Specialist of Urban and Controlled-Environment Plant Pathology in the Department of Plant Pathology, University of Georgia, Athens. she is responsible for extension programming and applied research focused on etiology, diagnosis, and management of diseases in urban and homeowner landscapes, gardens, and food crops produced in controlled-environment facilities.
Dr Kashyap holds a B.S. in Agriculture (with Honors in Crop Protection) and an M.S. in Plant Pathology (Major Advisor: Dr Narinder Singh) from Punjab Agricultural University, India. She holds a Ph.D. degree in Plant Sciences from South Dakota State University. Most recently, she conducted a postdoctoral research in the Greenhouse and Nursery Pathology Lab at the University of California, Davis.
