PAU Alumnus receives Young Agricultural Economist Award

Ludhiana, February 28, 2025: Mandeep Singh Sran, M.Sc. Agricultural Economics pass-out from the Department of Economics and Sociology, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), has been conferred with the "Young Agricultural Economist Award." He received this award from the PAU Vice-Chancellor Dr Satbir Singh Gosal and other officers, at the 5th International Agri Conference on “Navigating Unique Trends in Agricultural Research, Innovation, Engineering, Nutrition, and Technology (NUTRIENT-2025),” held at Bhai Gurdas Group of Institutions, Sangrur. The award was conferred upon the former PAU student by the Conference Award Screening Committee during the Award Validation Program on February 21, 2025; it was bestowed after thorough evaluation of his research contributions to the agriculture and livestock sector. This prestigious event was organized by the Agri Meet Foundation in collaboration with the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi, and the ICAR-National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal, Haryana at Bhai Gurdas Group of Institutions, Sangrur, Punjab.
He completed his M.Sc. in Agricultural Economics in 2018 under the guidance of Dr Manjeet Kaur Randhawa, Ex-Principal Agricultural Economist, Department of Economics and Sociology, PAU. Besides, he is a recipient of the "Best Researcher Award" at the another International Conference, Dehradun in November, 2024.
