PAU Counselling and Placement Cell organises Lectures on Personality Development for Students 

Ludhiana, February 27, 2025: To enhance students' career readiness and equip them with essential professional skills, the University Counselling and Placement Guidance Cell, PAU, under the Directorate of Students’ Welfare, organized lectures on personality development for students of the College of Horticulture and Forestry.

Ruchi Bhardwaj conducted insightful sessions on interview skills and CV building, emphasizing the importance of thorough preparation, strong communication, and professional presentation. She guided students on researching potential employers, practicing common interview questions, and effectively showcasing their strengths. She also highlighted key aspects of body language, first impressions, handling tough interview questions, and post-interview follow-ups. In her session on CV building, Bhardwaj provided practical tips on crafting concise, well-structured, and tailored resumes that emphasize relevant skills, experiences, and key achievements. She also cautioned against common CV mistakes such as including unnecessary details or improper formatting. The sessions were moderated by Gurpreet Singh Virk, Welfare Officer (Boys).

Speaking about the initiative, Dr. Khushdeep Dharni, Associate Director, University Counselling and Placement Guidance Cell, PAU, stated that such lectures are aimed at equipping students with practical tools to enhance their employability and perform confidently in professional settings.

Dr. Nirmal Singh Jaura, Director, Students’ Welfare, commended the efforts of the Placement Cell in fostering career readiness and emphasized the university’s commitment to the holistic development of students. He encouraged students to actively engage in such learning opportunities to refine their skills and stay competitive in the job market.
