PAU floriculture research scholar shines at international conference

Ludhiana, November 26, 2024: The research scholar Ms Kritika Pant, a Ph.D student, under the guidance of Dr RK Dubey, Professor of Landscaping, Department of Floriculture and Landscaping at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), has won the third best poster presentation award for her work on “Urban heat island mitigation: Investigating the role of roadside ornamental trees in improving thermal comfort.” She received the award during the Indian Ecological Society sponsored International Conference on “Transforming Agrifood System For Climate Changes and Energy Transitions,” held at PAU from November 12-15.
Dr Satbir Singh Gosal, Vice-Chancellor, PAU; Dr AS Dhatt, Director of Research; Dr MIS Gill, Dean, Postgraduate Studies and Dean, College of Horticulture and Forestry; and Dr Parminder Singh, Head of the department, congratulated the student and her advisor for this achievement.
