PAU imparts hands-on-training in entrepreneurship
The School of Organic Farming, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), conducted tutorial classes and hands-on-training on “Entrepreneurship” for the SC students. This initiative was carried out under the auspices of ICAR's Human Resources Development Need-Based Interventions for Livelihood Upliftment and Awareness Programme on “Government Policies and Plans in SC Clusters” for the financial year 2023-24. Nearly 15 students from different departments of PAU took part in this programme.
Ludhiana, March 26, 2024: The School of Organic Farming, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), conducted tutorial classes and hands-on-training on “Entrepreneurship” for the SC students. Dr GS Kocher, Principal Microbiologist, delivered a lecture on the “Importance and Uses of Natural Brewed Vinegar” and also shared insights into wine production from different fruits.
Dr Richa Arora, Microbiologist, spoke and gave demonstration on value addition of fruits to low-alcoholic, naturally carbonated beverages.
The Coordinator Dr Gulab Pandove elaborated on the methodology for the production of low-alcoholic, naturally carbonated beverages.
Dr Kuldeep Singh Bhullar, Fruit Scientist and Training Coordinator, discussed the scope of various fruits in processing.
Later, Dr Sohan Singh Walia, Director, School of Organic Farming, engaged with the participants to inspire and motivate them.
Dr Kocher and Dr Walia distributed training materials among the attendees. The enthusiastic response from the trainees indicated their keen interest in pursuing these skills professionally.
