PAU opens swimming pool for staff and general public
With the onset of summers, the swimming pool at the Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) has become operational for the faculty, staff, students and the general public.

Ludhiana, April 16, 2024: With the onset of summers, the swimming pool at the Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) has become operational for the faculty, staff, students and the general public.
The PAU Vice-Chancellor Dr Satbir Singh Gosal, while performing the rituals to make the swimming pool functional, divulged that in Punjab, PAU’s swimming pool has the cleanest water. Not taking any risk, the University has been maintaining its cleanliness from time to time keeping in view the physical health of the swimmers, he added.
Informing about the timings, Ajay Sharma, Swim Coach, said that boys can avail the facility from 6.00 to 7.00 am, girls from 7.00 to 8.00 am, families from 4.00 to 5.00 pm, students enrolled in National Sports Organization and contributors from 5.00 to 6.00 pm, and males as well as kids from 6.00 to 7.00 pm.
Rishi Pal Singh, Registrar; Dr Nirmal Jaura, Director Students’ Welfare; Mrs Kamaljeet Kaur, Deputy Director Sports and staff of Directorate of Students’ Welfare, PAU, were also present on the occasion.
