PAU organises a Cycle Rally
The Directorate of Students’ Welfare, organized a cycle rally in the memory of a national level cyclist Devinder Singh Bansal, at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU). The Vice-Chancellor Dr Satbir Singh Gosal flagged off the cycle rally in which more than 100 students participated with great enthusiasm.
Ludhiana, May 22, 2023: The Directorate of Students’ Welfare, organized a cycle rally in the memory of a national level cyclist Devinder Singh Bansal, at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU). The Vice-Chancellor Dr Satbir Singh Gosal flagged off the cycle rally in which more than 100 students participated with great enthusiasm.
Dr Gosal conveyed his good wishes to all the participants and laid emphasis on holding such events frequently as cycling was an environmental friendly activity and also very good for improving health of an individual.
Dr Nirmal Jaura, Director Students’ Welfare, told that Bansal family donated 71 lakh rupees to PAU in the memory of their beloved son for popularizing cycling in the university campus. The rally conveyed a message for pollution free campus under the slogan ‘Clean and Green PAU Campus’.
Dr Paramvir Singh Grewal, Incharge Cycling, proposed a vote of thanks. Dr Anoop Dixit, Mrs Kanwaljit Kaur, Dr Sukhbir Singh, Dr Amarjit Singh, Dr Ravinder Singh, Dr OP Gupta and Dr RK Dhall were also present on the occasion.
