PAU ORGANISES CULTURAL AND SPORTS EVENTS FOR HOSTEL STUDENTS

Ludhiana, July 18, 2023: Cultural and sports events were organised by the Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) for the students of hostel number 10. Presiding over the function, Dr Satbir Singh Gosal, Vice-Chancellor, PAU, remarked: “The University has been focusing on physical and mental well-being of the youths. It is important to nurture and remain in tune with your inner self.” Lauding the efforts of Directorate Students’ Welfare of PAU for keeping the students in high spirits, Dr Gosal said that student-friendly environment was must in the hostel to keep the students connected with each other academically and emotionally.
Dr Nirmal Jaura, Director Students’ Welfare, encouraged the youths to keep the spark of competitive spirit alive, and keep the atmosphere of the hostels healthy, and full of gaiety and jollity.
In badminton competition, Gursimran Kaur and Sapna secured the first two positions. In poster making competition, Alisha stood first, whereas in mehndi competition, Tamana Verma, Alsiha and Ramandeep Kaur got the top three positions. Navpreet Kaur and Preet won first prizes for dance and singing competitions, respectively. Room number 21 was adjudged as the most neat, clean and beautiful hostel room. Gyatari and Harmanjot enthralled the audience with bhand. Present on the occasion were hostel wardens and assistant hostel wardens.
