PAU organises mental health campaign
The National Service Scheme Unit of the Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) organized a mediation and mental health campaign ‘Har Ghar Dhyan,’ an initiative taken by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India under the agies of Azadi ka Amrit Mohatsav in collaboration with Art and Living Foundation, India.
Ludhiana, June 7, 2023: The National Service Scheme Unit of the Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) organized a mediation and mental health campaign ‘Har Ghar Dhyan,’ an initiative taken by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India under the agies of Azadi ka Amrit Mohatsav in collaboration with Art and Living Foundation, India.
Dr Jaswinder Kaur Brar, Coordinator Cultural Activities, was the guest of honour.
Amitesh Marwah and Amandeep Singh associated with Art and Living Foundation, were the guest speakers. Around 500 NSS volunteers participated in the event.
Marwah, a motivational speaker, interacted with the volunteers and discussed simple things which can keep the person motivated, enchanting and stress free.
Singh conducted a practical mediation session and explained different steps for mediation and how these steps helped in clearing all the negative thoughts.
Dr Brar appreciated the lectures delivered by the guest speakers and participation of the NSS volunteers in this campaign.
Dr Harmeet Singh Saralch, NSS Programme Coordinator, advised the volunteers to practice mediation in their day to day life to stay healthy and stress free.
Dr GPS Dhillon, Head, Department of Forestry and Natural Resources; and Dr Brar felicitated the guest speakers.
Dr Divya Utreja, NSS Programme Officer, introduced the speakers and conducted the sessions of this workshop. Among others present were NSS Programme Officers, Dr Manjot Kaur, Dr Kamalpreet Kaur Brar, Dr Koushik Mandal and Dr Harpreet Singh.
