PAU PROFESSOR TRIUMPHS WITH GOLD MEDAL AT STATE-LEVEL TABLE TENNIS TOURNAMENT
Dr Satish Kumar Gupta, a distinguished professor at the College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), Ludhiana, showcased his remarkable talent and sportsmanship by clinching the gold medal in the veteran category (50 to 59 age group) in the state-level table tennis tournament. The event, held under the Khedan Watan Punjab Diyan initiative in Barnala, drew competitors across Punjab.
Ludhiana, December 3, 2024: Dr Satish Kumar Gupta, a distinguished professor at the College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), Ludhiana, showcased his remarkable talent and sportsmanship by clinching the gold medal in the veteran category (50 to 59 age group) in the state-level table tennis tournament. The event, held under the Khedan Watan Punjab Diyan initiative in Barnala, drew competitors across Punjab.
Representing Ludhiana, Dr Gupta displayed exceptional skill, securing a decisive victory in the first tie of the finals against Sanjay from Amritsar with scores of 8-11, 11-8, 11-3, and 11-3. Building on this momentum, teammates Vanshdeep and Mohanbir Singh secured victories in their respective ties, leading Ludhiana to a commanding 3-0 win over Amritsar in the finals.
PAU Vice-Chancellor Dr Satbir Singh Gosal praised Dr Gupta's dedication, perseverance, and passion for the sport.
