PAU promotes safe use of crop protection products
The Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) in collaboration with FMC India Pvt. Ltd, a leading global agricultural sciences company, conducted a stewardship training to promote safe and judicious use of crop protection products. Postgraduate students and faculty of PAU attended the training where they were apprised of Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality Devices.

Postgraduate students and faculty of PAU attended the training where they were apprised of Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality Devices.
Dr Satbir Singh Gosal, Vice-Chancellor, PAU, appreciated the efforts of FMC India for bringing unique concepts of immersive learning and effortlessly working towards the welfare of the farmers and conducting skill development programmes for the future generations to come.
Dr GS Buttar, Director of Extension Education, who was the Chief Guest, elaborated on the importance of this workshop in view of World Environment Day.
The FMC delegates demonstrated the safe use of agrochemicals through simulating the real environment of crop fields with the help of Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality Devices.
Dr Ravinder Kaur Dhaliwal, Dean, College of Agriculture, presented the certificates to all the participating students.
Dr DK Sharma, Head, Department of Entomology, proposed a vote of thanks.
