PAU provides incubation facilities to entrepreneur
The entrepreneur is utilizing the incubation facilities at Food Industry Business Incubation Centre for 100 kg products every day
Ludhiana: The Food Industry Business Incubation Centre, Department of Food Science and Technology, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), provided training and incubation facilities to a PAU entrepreneur Mrs Anita Goyal, M/s Zaika Products, for the preparation of mango chutney, which is shelf stable for one year and liked by the consumers on a larger scale.
Dr Poonam A Sachdev, Principal Food Technologist (Vegetable)-cum-Head, Department of Food Science and Technology, advised Mrs Goyal to utilize residue remains with the stones of mango. She also suggested preparing chutney on a large scale for commercial purposes.
Mrs Goyal is utilizing the incubation facilities at Food Industry Business Incubation Centre for 100 kg products every day. Earlier, she was making the product manually at small scale at household level. Now with the increase in demand, she required larger equipment and facilities for which Food Industry Business Incubation Centre, PAU, provided help to the entrepreneur.
