PAU Research Scholar Wins Best Poster Presentation Award
Sony Bora, a Ph.D. scholar in the Department of Climate Change and Agricultural Meteorology, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), has been conferred with the “Best Poster Presentation Award” for the paper entitled “Estimation of Actual Evapotranspiration in Central Punjab using SEBAL model.”
Ludhiana, December 23, 2024: Sony Bora, a Ph.D. scholar in the Department of Climate Change and Agricultural Meteorology, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), has been conferred with the “Best Poster Presentation Award” for the paper entitled “Estimation of Actual Evapotranspiration in Central Punjab using SEBAL model.” The paper, authored jointly by Sony Bora, PK Kingra, Atin Majumder and RK Setia, was presented during the ISRS-ISG National Symposium on “Remote Sensing for Sustainable Future: A Road Map Towards Viksit Bharat,” organized by the ISRS Lucknow Chapter in collaboration with the Remote Sensing Application Centre (RSAC) and Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow, from December 11-13. Ms Bora is conducting research on, “Water footprint accounting of wheat under abiotic stresses using crop simulation and earth observation systems” under the guidance of Dr PK Kingra as Major Advisor in collaboration with Dr RK Setia from Punjab Remote Sensing Centre, Ludhiana.
