Ludhiana, March 2, 2015: Dr Rajinder Kaur Kalra, Professor and Head, Department of Extension Education, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) has been conferred with the recognition award for her outstanding contributions to the growth and development of extension education. The Indian Society of Extension Education, Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi presented her the award during the national seminar on “Extension Innovations and Methodologies for Market-Led Agricultural Growth and Development” held at Rajmata Vijayaraje Sciendia Krishi Vishwa Vidyalaya, Gwalior, from February 26-28. Best paper award was also bestowed on Dr Kalra for the paper entitled “Imperative role of grower groups in Western Australia : Building partnership for knowledge sharing.”
Dr Baldev Singh Dhillon, Vice-Chancellor, PAU congratulated Dr Kalra for this achievement.
Dr R.S. Sidhu, Director of Extension Education, exhorted her to continue serving the farming community with dedication in future too.
