Ludhiana, August 17: The Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) will organise a “Research and Extension Specialists’ Workshop for Rabi Crops” on August 22 and 23 at Pal Auditorium of the University. Dr Baldev Singh Dhillon, Vice-Chancellor, PAU, will inaugurate the workshop, which will have the participation of the officers of State Department of Agriculture, Directors of PAU Regional Stations, District Extension Specialists from Punjab and UT Chandigarh and Associate/Deputy Directors (Training) of Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs).
The Director of Agriculture, Punjab, Dr. M.S.Sandhu will share the targets of different crops and will highlight the slated programmes for the coming Rabi season. During the workshop, the deliberations on the new package of practices for Rabi crops will take place in addition to receiving feedback form the field level functionaries.
The subject-matter specialists of PAU will share new findings and recommendations with thrust on crop production, protection, post-harvest handling, mechanisation and marketing.
An exhibition, showcasing latest techniques and technologies for Rabi crops, will also be put up on this occasion.
