PAU student awarded consolation prize for paper presentation
Er Ruchika Zalpouri, Ph.D scholar, Department of Processing and Food Engineering, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), has been awarded with the “Consolation Prize” in the category of Dairy and Food Processing.
Ludhiana, May 11, 2022: Er Ruchika Zalpouri, Ph.D scholar, Department of Processing and Food Engineering, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), has been awarded with the “Consolation Prize” in the category of Dairy and Food Processing at the International Conference on “Water, Agriculture, Dairy and Food Processing for Sustainable Economy” held at Baru Sahib, Himachal Pradesh on March 25 and 26, 2022. She was awarded for her virtual paper presentation on the topic “Statistical optimization of steam blanching time and temperature for the production of onion puree.” Her Ph.D. research is focused on the “Development and evaluation of solar assisted refractance window dryer for vegetable purees” under the guidance of Dr Manpreet Singh, Scientist, Department of Renewable Energy Engineering, PAU.
Dr Ashok Kumar, Dean, College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology, and Dr Mahesh Kumar, Professor-cum-Head, Department of Processing and Food Engineering, congratulated the student for the achievement.
