PAU student gets second best poster presentation award

Ludhiana, June 16, 2023: Rashmi, a Ph.D. student in the Department of Chemistry, College of Basic Sciences and Humanities, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), has been awarded the second best poster presentation award at the National Conference on “Natural and Organic Farming for Ecological, Economical and Nutritional Security,” held at Palampur from June 7-9, 2023. She was awarded this prestigious award by Chander Kumar, Minister of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry, Himachal Pradesh (HP) and Prof HK Choudhary, Vice-Chancellor during an award ceremony, held at CSK Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidyalya, Palampur. She presented a poster on the theme “Post-harvest Processing and Value Addition for Nutritional Security.” Presently, she is pursuing her Ph.D under the guidance of Dr Ritu Tandon, Chemist, Department of Chemistry (posted at PHPTC). Dr Ritu Tandon, Major Advisor and Dr Anu Kalia are the co-authors of the poster presented.

Dr Satbir Singh Gosal, Vice-Chancellor, PAU; Dr Shammi Kapoor, Dean, College of Basic Sciences and Humanities; and Dr Manjeet Kaur Sangha, Professor-cum-Head, Department of Chemistry, congratulated the student and wished her all success in her future endeavours.
