Ludhiana, November 11, 2024: The School of Business Studies (SBS) at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) was fast emerging as a vibrant agri business hub of industry, entrepreneurship, and academic collaboration, drawing together thought leaders, alumni, and students to foster innovation and real-world learning. Recently, SBS alumnus Anmol Singh Grewal of batch 2021-23 visited the department to engage with the faculty members and share his insights on various aspects of entrepreneurship. Hailing from Dangon village of district Ludhiana, Grewal, an exceptional student and accomplished sportsman (former captain of the PAU cricket team), had embarked on an inspiring entrepreneurial venture. In collaboration with Jagjit Singh of Kawaii Agrochemicals (registered), Grewal was working in the marketing of fertilizers and pesticides, with a production alliance with PEPTEC.
During his visit, Grewal emphasized the invaluable practical learning which he received at SBS and equipped him with a strong foundation in agri-business practices, market insights, distribution systems, and sales management. Confident in his ability to serve the agrarian community effectively, Grewal expressed his gratitude to SBS for providing mentorship and real-world exposure.
Dr MS Malhi, an advisor and international consultant for Crop Sciences, enriched the discussion by interacting with Mr Grewal on the societal implications of agri-inputs, especially the judicious use of fertilizers and pesticides.
The faculty at SBS, under the leadership of Dr Ramandeep Singh, Professor-cum-Director, SBS, PAU, congratulated him on his achievements and commended his contributions toward creating employment opportunities for the youth.
