PAU VC communicates and dines with hostel students, addresses their grievances

Ludhiana, June 16, 2023: In an effort to strengthen student-teacher bond, the Vice-Chancellor of Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) Dr Satbir Singh Gosal held a close interaction with the students of hostel no. 4 and later had a dinner with them.
While communicating with the students, Dr Gosal recalled his own student life and stated that hostel life was an essential part of students’ academic life for it bridged the gap and fortified the brotherhood through the exchange of diverse cultures.

“Punjabis have always been known for their kindness and large heartedness; even in the hour of distress and misery, Punjabis are the first to come forward to serve the society irrespective of caste, colour and creed,” he observed. “Sharing, caring and loving your roommates, and looking after their well-being depicts your positive bent of mind and creates a friendly atmosphere,” he added. Dr Gosal gave a patient hearing to the grievances of hostel students and assured them of resolving all their issues.

Dr Nirmal Jaura, Director Students’ Welfare, said that hostel students’ safety and security have always been the top priority of PAU and that the University’s administration was devoted to providing the best lodging facilities to the students as they stayed away from their families.

Students expressed their gratitude to the PAU VC and other senior officials; and relished the dishes prepared by the hostel mess.

Present on the occasion were hostel wardens Dr OP Gupta, Associate Director (Information Technology) and Dr Vishal Bector, Associate Director (Institutional Linkages).
