In a significant event held at Sukhdev Singh Bhavan of Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana, a book titled “Punjab Di Kheti Prabandhan Di Akh Ton” authored by Dr. Amanpreet Singh Brar was unveiled. The book launch was graced by the presence of Dr. Satbir Singh Gosal, the Vice-Chancellor of Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana, alongside politicians Parminder Singh Brar and Jagmeet Singh Brar as Guests of Honour, as well as a distinguished gathering comprising university officers, faculty members, and literary personalities.

Ludhiana, December 21, 2023: In a significant event held at Sukhdev Singh Bhavan of Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana, a book titled “Punjab Di Kheti Prabandhan Di Akh Ton” authored by Dr. Amanpreet Singh Brar was unveiled. The book launch was graced by the presence of Dr. Satbir Singh Gosal, the Vice-Chancellor of Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana, alongside politicians Parminder Singh Brar and Jagmeet Singh Brar as Guests of Honour, as well as a distinguished gathering comprising university officers, faculty members, and literary personalities.

Addressing the distinguished audience, Dr. S.S. Gosal urged a shift in agricultural practices and commended Dr. Brar's book for tackling farming misconceptions. Collaborative efforts among academia, government, and farmers were highlighted for sustainable water management. Dr. Gosal stressed reevaluating water usage emphasizing crop diversification and innovative techniques to combat water scarcity. He endorsed the book's call for strategic planning to fortify Punjab's agriculture. Encouraging ongoing research, the Vice-Chancellor hailed collective endeavours to innovate and ensure a prosperous agricultural future in the state.

Jagmeet Singh Brar outlined Punjab's history from the turbulent partition of 1947 to the transformative Green Revolution led by institutions like PAU. He spotlighted the need for prompt resolution of agricultural issues to secure prosperity in the state. Similarly, S. Parminder S. Brar drew attention to the importance of constructive communication between the government and farmers to find practical solutions for agricultural challenges.

Dr A.P.S. Brar informed that his book is a comprehensive attempt to address the intricate challenges currently prevalent in the agricultural landscape. Tackling various common misconceptions prevailing in the field, he underscored the critical need to regulate water usage for crop sustenance and emphasized the urgency for strategic discussions on crop diversification and meticulous planning within the existing timeframe. He also discussed genetic engineering's role in enhancing crop traits for increasing farmers' income and improving market quality.

Notably, Dr. Brar’s book presents a nuanced perspective on the stubble-burning issue, advocating for the conversion of residues into resources rather than resorting to field-burning practices. It delves into the risks associated with preservatives in processed foods, cautioning against detrimental effects on health. Additionally, the book offers insights into greenhouse gases, carbon fixation, and carbon trading in the context of greenhouse gas emissions.

With an MBA and PhD in Business Management, Dr. Brar brings over 15 years of teaching experience. His expertise encompasses various domains, including business environments, corporate strategy, branding, marketing, and political marketing. Dr. Brar extensively utilizes social and print media platforms to disseminate his wealth of knowledge, engaging in video talks on societal issues and prolifically authoring books and articles in Punjabi.
