PAU Zoological Society and Nikon India collaborate for Wildlife Photography Workshop
The Zoological Society of the Department of Zoology, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), in collaboration with Nikon India, organized a one-day hands-on training cum workshop for postgraduate students on the use of wildlife cameras and photography on August 2.
Ludhiana, August 06,2024: The Zoological Society of the Department of Zoology, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), in collaboration with Nikon India, organized a one-day hands-on training cum workshop for postgraduate students on the use of wildlife cameras and photography on August 2.
Held in the College of Basic Sciences & Humanities committee room, the workshop saw the participation of 33 PG students who gained valuable insights into the technical aspects of camera operations, wildlife photography, and landscape photography.
Dr. Tejdeep Kaur Kler, Head and Patron of the Zoological Society, welcomed the Nikon India team. The workshop included lectures and practical demonstrations conducted by Nikon resource persons: Rashpal Singh, Mannvinder Singh, Jatin Malhotra (Travel & Landscape Influencer), and Rajesh Sharma. These sessions emphasized various elements of photography, the operation of different types of digital cameras, and the diverse lenses used in field studies.
This collaborative initiative aimed to bridge the gap in research purposes and broaden the students' horizons for future ornithology and wildlife photography opportunities. Nikon resource persons expressed their willingness to conduct similar workshops and sponsor future endeavours to enhance student skills in wildlife photography.
