PAU’S PH.D. SCHOLAR SECURES PM FELLOWSHIP FOR MICROBIOLOGY RESEARCH

Ludhiana, August 30, 2023: The academic excellence of Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), Ludhiana, continues to shine as another bright student, Ms. Priyanka, pursuing her Ph.D. in Microbiology, has emerged victorious by clinching the prestigious Prime Minister fellowship under the SERB-FICCI program. This remarkable accomplishment has added another feather in the cap of PAU, taking the count of Prime Minister Fellowships received by the university to an impressive six.

Ms. Priyanka's research titled "Extraction of Bioactive Compounds from Grape Waste using Green Technologies for Fortification in Food Products" has garnered the attention it truly deserves. As part of this fellowship, she will be receiving a monthly stipend of Rs. 76,880. She is working under the guidance of Dr Pooja, Microbiologist. Notably, the industrial partner supporting this research endeavour is KLC Wines PVT. LTD. located in Nasik, Maharashtra.

Congratulating Ms. Priyanka on her outstanding achievement, Dr Satbir Singh Gosal, Vice-Chancellor, PAU, expressed his delight and pride in her accomplishment.
