Pavilion celebrates Navratri with a Dandiya Night

Ludhiana, October 22, 2015: “City's favorite shopping destination, Pavilion, concluded its nine day long Navratri Carnival last evening. The celebrations were on since 13th October, where each day, artists across different genres of art and skills mesmerized the shopping buffs visiting the mall. Some of the spectacular shows included human statues, puppet shows, clapper boys and saxophone players. A special performance by Tanoura dancers added international flavor to the Carnival.
But the best, as always, was saved for the end. Yesterday's function was ceremoniously inaugurated by Harcharan Singh Gohalwaria, honourable Mayor of Ludhiana, who wished the city dwellers on the ongoing festivities. He also acknowledged the staff and management of Pavilion for conducting the event. Post inauguration, colours of Navratri were out with a Dandiya Evening lasting for 3 hours. Professional Dandiya troupe displayed their scintillating moves, bringing out the traditional spirit of Navratri. They also involved the novice participants and helped them adapt to the tunes and steps.
