PCM S.D. College for Women celebrates 76th Republic Day with gaiety and patriotic fervour

Jalandhar, January 27, 2025: The NCC and Central Association of PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar, celebrated the 76th Republic Day of India with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour. The ceremony commenced with the unfurling of the National Flag by the chief guest, Pavinder Behl, Treasurer of Devi Talab Mandir and President of District Jalandhar Beopar Mandal, along with the worthy Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Pooja Prashar. Following the flag hoisting, the NCC cadets paid tribute to the flag with a ceremonial salute, showcasing their deep respect and patriotism. This was followed by the rendition of the National Anthem, presented by the students under the guidance of the Department of Music. A patriotic song performed by the Department of Music further elevated the patriotic spirit of the event.

In her address, the Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Pooja Prashar, expressed deep pride in the rich democratic heritage of India and emphasized the significance of Republic Day as a reminder of the fundamental values enshrined in the Constitution. She highlighted the pivotal role of education in empowering young women to become responsible citizens and contribute meaningfully to the nation's progress. She urged students to uphold the ideals of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity, and to take inspiration from the sacrifices of our freedom fighters to build a brighter future. She also encouraged them to actively participate in nation-building initiatives and work towards fostering unity and harmony in society.

President Naresh Budhia, Senior Vice President Vinod Dada, the other honourable members of the managing committee and the worthy Principal extended their heartfelt congratulations to the students and faculty on this patriotic occasion.
