PCM S.D. College for Women commemorates Veer Bal Diwas with Tribute to Sahibzada Zorawar Singh and Sahibzada Fateh Singh
To commemorate Veer Bal Diwas and honor the supreme sacrifices of Sahibzada Zorawar Singh and Sahibzada Fateh Singh, the Youth Club and NSS Unit of PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar, organized a guest lecture followed by a Plantation Drive. The event aimed to instill the values of courage, devotion, and resilience exemplified by the young martyrs.

Jalandhar, December 26, 2024: To commemorate Veer Bal Diwas and honor the supreme sacrifices of Sahibzada Zorawar Singh and Sahibzada Fateh Singh, the Youth Club and NSS Unit of PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar, organized a guest lecture followed by a Plantation Drive. The event aimed to instill the values of courage, devotion, and resilience exemplified by the young martyrs.
The Principal, Prof. Dr. Pooja Prashar, along with members of the Youth Club and NSS Unit, extended a green welcome to the guest speaker, Parveen Abrol, President, NGO Divya Drishti, symbolizing the college's commitment to environmental conservation.
In her powerful address, Mrs. Parveen Abrol narrated the extraordinary bravery of the Sahibzaade, who chose martyrdom over compromise, defending their faith and principles at a tender age. Her words deeply resonated with the audience, inspiring them to emulate the Sahibzaade’s values of righteousness and strength.
Following the lecture, a Plantation Drive was conducted at the Sahibzada Zorawar Singh and Sahibzada Fateh Singh Yadgari Kona in the college campus. Faculty members, students, and staff actively participated, planting saplings to promote environmental sustainability and honoring the legacy of the Sahibzaade.
The President, Naresh Bhudia, Senior Vice President, Vinod Dada, other distinguished members of the Managing Committee, and the Principal, Prof. Dr. Pooja Prashar, expressed heartfelt appreciation to Abrol for her inspiring words and commended the active participation of the students and staff in this meaningful initiative.
