PCM S.D. College for Women holds Creative Writing Competition at ‘Hindi Divas’
On the occasion of Hindi Diwas, a Creative Writing Competition was organized at Prem Chand Markanda SD College for Women, Jalandhar. In honor of this significant day dedicated to Hindi as our mother tongue, official language, and national language, ‘Hindi Sahitya Dhara’ hosted the competition to encourage creative expression in Hindi.
Jalandhar, September 21, 2024: On the occasion of Hindi Diwas, a Creative Writing Competition was organized at Prem Chand Markanda SD College for Women, Jalandhar. In honor of this significant day dedicated to Hindi as our mother tongue, official language, and national language, ‘Hindi Sahitya Dhara’ hosted the competition to encourage creative expression in Hindi.
Thirty enthusiastic students from the BA and BA B.Ed programs participated showcasing their linguistic and creative skills. Students were at liberty to compose a poem, short story, essay on any topic of their choice, reflecting their understanding and appreciation of Hindi.
Students from the Collegiate Block also prepared posters to celebrate the day. These posters highlighted the cultural and historical importance of Hindi language.
President Naresh Budhia, Senior Vice President Vinod Dada, other members of the managing committee and Principal Prof.(Dr.) Pooja Prashar acknowledged the endeavours of the Department in emphasizing the importance of Hindi in both personal and national contexts. They encouraged them to cultivate a deeper connection with the language and highlighted its role in preserving cultural heritage.
