PCM SD College for Women holds two-day Talent Hunt for Freshers
In an attempt to polish the capacities of its students, the Youth Club of the college organised a two-day Talent Hunt for the session 2024-25.
Jalandhar, August 24, 2024: In an attempt to polish the capacities of its students, the Youth Club of the college organised a two-day Talent Hunt for the session 2024-25.
Principal Prof.(Dr.) Pooja Prashar was the chief guest of the day. Incharges of the Youth Club, Dr. Neena Mittal, Gurjit Kaur, Dr. Simarjeet and other members of the Youth Club gave a cordial welcome to the chief guest.
The event commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp. On the first day, literary items like Debate, Declamation and Poetical Recitation, Items of Fine Arts- Cartooning, Landscape, Sculpture, Rangoli and Cosmetology competitions like Mehendi, Nail-art, Make-up and Phulkari were held.
On the second day, dance, theatre, music and fancy dress items were held. Students of varied streams participated with vigour. The achievers were awarded with prizes by Madam Principal.
She maintained that apart from academic progress, considerable emphasis ought to be laid on honing the ingenious skills of students in the arenas of extra-curricular activities.
Towards the conclusion of the event, Gurjit Kaur expressed a vote of thanks to our reverent Principal on behalf of the Youth Club.
The stage was successfully held by our able students Deepu of BA.B.Ed Semester VII and Silvy of B.Com FS Semester V. Shikha Puri and Mrs Rachna were the stage secretaries of the event.
President Naresh Budhia, Senior Vice President Vinod Dada, other members of the management and Principal Prof.(Dr.)Pooja Prashar applauded the efforts of the entire team.
