PCM S.D. College for Women Organises Cultural Exchange Interactive Program

The Cultural Exchange Committee of PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar, successfully organized a Cultural Exchange Interactive Program under the Government of India’s ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ initiative, which aims to foster cultural engagement among states. As part of this initiative, Punjab is paired with Andhra Pradesh, and PCM S.D. College for Women signed an MoU with Government College for Women (A), Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh, to facilitate cultural exchange.

Jalandhar, March 13, 2025: The Cultural Exchange Committee of PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar, successfully organized a Cultural Exchange Interactive Program under the Government of India’s ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ initiative, which aims to foster cultural engagement among states. As part of this initiative, Punjab is paired with Andhra Pradesh, and PCM S.D. College for Women signed an MoU with Government College for Women (A), Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh, to facilitate cultural exchange.

The event provided a platform for students from both colleges to interact, share ideas, and gain insights into each other’s traditions and lifestyles. In an era where technology has bridged distances, such programs play a crucial role in strengthening human connections and fostering a collective approach to nation-building.

The program commenced with a brief introduction by Dr. Sandeep Kaur, Incharge of the Cultural Exchange Committee. The esteemed guests of the event included K. Surya Chandra Rao, Principal , Government College for Women (A), Srikakulam,  Andhra Pradesh, Ms. K Mounika, Program Coordinator from the college. They shared valuable insights into the culture and education system of Andhra Pradesh.

During the program, students from both Institutions actively interacted with each other, exchanging their thoughts on various aspects of their respective cultures. After these discussions, some students shared their reflections and experiences, emphasizing the importance of such cultural exchange in fostering unity and mutual understanding. 

The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Indu Tyagi, Co-Incharge of the Cultural Exchange Committee, expressing gratitude to the guests and participants.Dr. Anju Bala also witnessed the event. The program saw the enthusiastic participation of around 50 students from both institutions.
