PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar Organizes Pledge Against Drug Abuse
The Buddy Program of PCM S.D. College for Women, in collaboration with the National Cadet Corps (NCC), organized a significant pledge-taking event to combat drug abuse. This initiative was held in line with the directives of the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA) campaign, "Viksit Bharat Ka Mantra, Bharat Ho Nashe Se Swatantra."
Jalandhar, August 13, 2024: The Buddy Program of PCM S.D. College for Women, in collaboration with the National Cadet Corps (NCC), organized a significant pledge-taking event to combat drug abuse. This initiative was held in line with the directives of the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA) campaign, "Viksit Bharat Ka Mantra, Bharat Ho Nashe Se Swatantra."
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty, who collectively took an e-pledge to stand against drug abuse, vowing never to take drugs and to actively raise awareness among those around them about the dangers of drug use. The event underscored the college's commitment to social responsibility and its proactive role in supporting national campaigns aimed at eradicating this menace.
President Naresh Bhudia, Senior Vice President Vinod Dada, other members of the management, and the worthy Principal, Prof. Dr. Pooja Prashar lauded the students for their dedication to the cause. She also emphasized the importance of such initiatives in creating a drug-free society and fostering a healthier future for the nation.
