PCM S.D. College for Women launches second batch of Bajaj Finserv’s CPBFI
Jalandhar, October 21, 2021: To make its students employable for banking, financial services and insurance industry,the Post Graduate Department of Commerce and Management of PCM SD College for Women, Jalandhar in collaboration with Bajaj Finserv launched the second batch of Certificate Program in Banking, Finance and Insurance (CPBFI) under Bajaj’s CSR initiative on 7 Oct. 2021 through online mode.The Co-ordinator of this program Mrs. Alka Sharma, the Head of the PG Department of Commerceand Management informed that CPBFI is a comprehensive, customized and practical certification programin the field of banking, Insurance and finance for bridging the gap between the industry and the academia by inculcating those skills in the students which are the requirement of the Industry and thereby developing the potential of the students to the fullest. The program, whose curriculum is a blend of domain knowledge and soft skills,is being attended by 44 registered participants of the college from B.Com (FS) and B.Com (Regular) final year. Miss Kirandeep of B.Com (Regular) Sem, V has been nominated as the Student Co-ordinator to co-ordinate between the student participants and the Bajaj Team. Mr. Raja C. Dcruz,who is the Senior Manager,CSR (Placement Support), Bajaj Finserv launchedthis course and informed that the course included subjects like Banking Operations,Insurance Management and Advanced Business Communication. He further stated that the journey of CPBFI started with identifying the training needs by conducting a quiz for the students followed by the launch of CPBFI training program. The technical support in this program is being provided by Mr.Kawaljit Singh, the Lead Trainer of the program. Speaking during the launch of the program, the worthy Principal of the college Dr.(Mrs.) PoojaPrashar said that the conduct of such skill-oriented programs is in accordance with the vision of the college Management to make girl students employable by imparting them skills and training required by the industry and service sectors. She encouraged the students to participate actively and vigorously in such training programs being planned by the college from time to time for their better placement in the job market. Towards the end, she applauded the efforts of Mrs. Alka Sharma, the Head of the PG Department of Commerceand Management, in planning and executing such programs and offered her sincerest thanks to the whole team of Bajaj Finserv. The launching ceremony of the program was well attended by the faculty of the college as well.
