PCM S.D. College for Women Observes ‘Shaheedi Divas’ to Honour Martyrs
Department of NCC in collaboration with Department of History of PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar, solemnly observed ‘Shaheedi Divas’ on 23rd March to pay tribute to the unparalleled sacrifices of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, and Rajguru. The event aimed to instill a sense of patriotism and remind the younger generation of the supreme sacrifices made by these national heroes for the country’s independence.

Jalandhar, March 24, 2025: Department of NCC in collaboration with Department of History of PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar, solemnly observed ‘Shaheedi Divas’ on 23rd March to pay tribute to the unparalleled sacrifices of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, and Rajguru. The event aimed to instill a sense of patriotism and remind the younger generation of the supreme sacrifices made by these national heroes for the country’s independence.
The program commenced with staff members, NCC cadets, and students offering tributes to the martyrs as a mark of deep respect and remembrance. To further highlight their valour, the NCC cadets staged a thought-provoking theatrical performance portraying the indomitable courage and commitment of the freedom fighters.
Adding to the patriotic fervour, a cycle rally was also organized, where students and cadets displayed slogans and banners to spread the message of freedom and sacrifice among the community. The rally served as an inspiring initiative to immortalize the legacy of these national icons and promote awareness among the masses.
President Naresh Budhia, Senior Vice President Vinod Dada, other members of the managing committee and Principal Prof.(Dr.) Pooja Prashar congratulated the Department of NCC, their NCC ANO and Captain Priya Mahajan, and the Department of History for successfully organizing the event. She lauded their efforts in engaging students in activities that foster a sense of national pride and responsibility.
The event was a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made by the great revolutionaries and reinforced the college’s commitment to nurturing responsible and patriotic citizens.
