Jalandhar, February 6, 2025: Under the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), the P.G. Department of Computer Science & IT of PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar, organised a guest lecture on "Navigating the Future of Work: Mastering In-Demand IT Skills."


In today’s era, the IT industry plays a crucial role in shaping students' careers by equipping them with essential skills required across various professional fields. The guest speaker, Mukesh Principal, Group Software Engineering Manager at Microsoft India (R&D) Private Limited, Hyderabad, guided students on how to navigate professional demands in IT companies and excel in job interviews. He also provided insights into product-based and service-based companies, highlighting the scope and promising future available to students with strong IT skills.

Another esteemed guest, Mohit from DSSD Sr. Sec. School, Basti Nau, Jalandhar, also joined the session. Through this lecture, students gained a deeper understanding of the significance of the IT industry and its evolving landscape.

The Head of the Department, Shivani Sharma, welcomed the guests and expressed her gratitude for their valuable presence and contributions. Dr. Lovely Sharma also conveyed heartfelt appreciation to the distinguished speakers for sharing their expertise and insights.
