Jalandhar, April 29, 2024: Library Advisory Committee of PCM S.D College for Women, Jalandhar organized a stimulating Book Review event aimed at cultivating the reading skills of its students. The event, which drew enthusiastic participation from students across different streams, underscored the paramount importance of reading, particularly in the realm of stories and novels.
Principal (Dr) Pooja Prashar, along with esteemed faculty members Renu Bala, Neena Mittal, Simar Kaur, and Sonia graced the occasion and elucidated the distinction between studying and reading. Emphasizing that reading serves both pleasure and knowledge, they encouraged students to embrace the habit wholeheartedly.
During the event, students were encouraged to draw parallels between characters from the books they read and familiar individuals, a practice aimed at enhancing vocabulary and retention. The initiative sought to instill a deeper appreciation for literature and the power of storytelling among students.
